02705_family.JPG06/07/2008Gruffydd's Naming Day in Llandudno (73 images)
The main reason for us being in Llandudno was to become Gruffydd's 'Oddparents' - a sort of non-religious version of Godparents. The ceremony took place at Llandudno Town Hall in the afternoon so we had plenty of time to take a tram ride up to the top of Great Orme (where Ellie waved to Grandad in Australia) followed by a stroll into the town. After the ceremony we were invited to Sioned's parents' place up the road for lunch and a few drinks in the garden.

Lots of beach-walking on a sunny - but windy - day in Llandudno. The kids enjoyed throwing rocks into pools on the beach, then had a ride.

Nursing hangovers, we went to get some fresh air at the seaside. It was a bit windswept but the kids enjoyed climbing rocks and collecting shells, plus we found out what whelk-eggs looked like.

05323_ben.JPG23/03/2007Dinner in Llandudno (5 images)
Hooray! We're off to Wales for a wedding, and the first thing we need to do when we get there is eat - so it's off to a kiddie-friendly pub to toast the condemned man tongue

03696_nicky_stacey.JPG09/12/2006Fotopic Staff Christmas Party 2006, Cowshed, Wakefield (80 images)
The annual excuse to get ratarsed, this time at Cowshed in Wakefield. We had a good showing of Fotopic staff and moderators, including Sam who came up from Tenby, and some of the London folks; finally got to bed at 3:30am full of beer and dreading the following day's hangover.

Another bout of 4am insomnia brought on by a bad cold, so I donned my fleece and headed off to the beach again but on this occasion armed with the power of a timer. Not bad shots.

Couldn't sleep - so got up at 4:30am, grabbed the tripod and went out onto the cliffs and beach to get some photos. The earlier ones are slightly blurry because I don't have a remote trigger (yet) and I hadn't worked out how to use the timer, but a bit of faffing later on yielded good results.

00552_ellie.JPG15/08/2005Tenby South Beach, Fecci's, Cliffside (21 images)
After a morning spent on the South Beach, we went back to the house for a rest before meeting Nat and scoffing oversize ice-creams at Fecci's again. Then off to buy takeout curry, playing on the cliffside and having a pub drink before collecting it.

Another event at the harbour, this time featuring dancers, fire-dancers, and a band called Walking Wounded who played a mad combination of Slovenian songs and 60s covers.

Early evening potter to the town, via the harbour and South Beach.

09861_ellie.JPG09/08/2005Tenby, Lobster, Saundersfoot (11 images)
We started out around 11ish heading to South Beach, and followed it up with a fish+chip lunch. Then back home with Joel's lobster and finally heading to Saundersfoot for a poke round - sadly Ellie wasn't too well (a cold, we think) so we ended up coming back pretty soon.

A sunny day of sunbathing, looking for shells, and eating large ice-cream sundaes.

We played in the garden, then wandered into Tenby on the first day of our holiday to see the 'Summer Spectacular'. We saw a fantastic stunt air display, a cliff rescue demonstration, and managed to bump into Sam who's a long-standing Fotopic user and works with the Tenby Coastguard.
09423_nicky_ellie.JPG06/08/2005Going to Tenby via Chester (28 images)
Holiday time! A 220-mile drive to Tenby via Chester for lunch, and deepest darkest Wales. Didn't see any dragons, but we did end up on the beach at 10pm because Ellie wanted a quick play in the sand (in the darK!).
