Joel had a hankering to go to the steam rally near Nottingham, and it proved to be a lovely family day out even though it absolutely tipped it down with rain mid-afternoon. Still, the kids had a lovely ride on the roundabouts and took lots of photos. Ben particularly enjoyed the tractors.

The annual Spring Bank Holiday steam fair at Nostell Priory, near Wakefield - only this year Ben was interested too! Ellie danced to the fairground organs and we watched the steam engines.

Ellie wanted to ride on *everything*!

In the absence of anything better to do on a Bank Holiday Monday, we wandered across to Nostell Priory to the steam rally. Although miserable and convalescing, Ellie was interested in what was going on and even managed a small bit of ice-cream.
