It was Antonio's birthday and to celebrate he arranged a tribute to himself at The Hop with friends joining him on stage to perform favourite versions of his best known works!

Opening Sunday's Oxjam fund-raiser at The Hop, Rosie Doonan played a solo acoustic set on guitar and ukelele.

A bit of an experiment given Escobar's got a new lighting rig - but in the end it didn't seem to make much of a difference! Spongewings (a duo comprising a small synth and a drummer) played, then Rosie Doonan, and finally Mumford & Sons headlined.

We went down to see the Rosie Doonan Band at Escobar, supported by The TrouBadors and The Passing Fancy. It was Rosie's birthday so pretty much guaranteed to be a good gig - sod all stage lighting so I did the best I could using the flashgun (which I hate but anyway...). Then off to The Inns Of Court for after-gig beers until about 1am, hurrah!

Rosie's band peformed to an exceptionally busy crowd at The New Inn, Walton, near Wakefield. Really yellow stage lighting and photos taken from halfway down the crowd with a limited field of vision but there's still a couple of good ones here. Thanks to Si who held my beer for me and steadied me when I was standing on tiptoes!

Finally managed to see Rosie Doonan's band at O'Donoghue's, and stopped for quite a few drinks afterwards.
