While working in my office at home, I was accosted by the kittens who proceeded to find comfortable places to sleep in the sunlight.

The Easter Bunny visited and brought eggs for an egg hunt; Ben and Ellie podded peas for lunch; Joel cooked a massive joint of lamb that went off the kitchen weighing scale so had to use the people scales; and two new kittens - Smoke and Fluff - came to live with us. Then we played Guitar Hero 3 (a present from Matt) and drank wine. Hurrah!

At 2 years old she's getting to be an old greying hamster, and I'm worried she's got wet tail.

While trying to work out what's up with the 10D's autofocus, I took a few pics of Ellinor, and the cat. Autofocus is shagged, but the rest of the camera seems ok.

After the party is the party come-down, with Sunday lunch and a lot of hungover silliness. Jelly the Kitten found a new hiding place in Marios' jacket, and we all laughed at Nairn who had partaken of too much gin the night before.

I'd cleaned Hannah's cage out, put some fresh food in, and she proceeded to pouch as much as she could while still being able to walk.

Hannah was very obliging, and let me take some nice photos - she's only 8 weeks old we think, bless her.

Jane's off to Iraq again and this is the last time we'll see her for a bit, therefore a visit was in order (it's a year since she's seen the kids anyway!). After that, a trip to the Oliver Twist kiddie-pub at Notton for lunch and a play in the playground.

Take 9 small toddlers, their parents, mix together with chocolate cake, ice-cream and jelly, beer, and tea. Simmer for two hours. Result: one carpet which needs cleaning, and lots of happy people

AQWA is the Aquarium of Western Australia, and has loads of things like sharks, rays, jellyfish, and seals. It's even got a touchpool so that you can touch the fish, which Ellie took great delight in. Then off to the underwater tunnel, where a great white shark watched us all round the tour... scary!

Oliver's got the usual cat fetish of hiding in boxes, which Ellie's cottoned on to. And then off to the Soul Kitchen for lunch where Andrew showed us his baby son!

We adopted Ollie, a 7 month-old ginger tomkitten, from a 'net-friend of ours... Ollie's got a bit of a confusion with Ellie, so we're referring to him as Oliver now. Anyway, he seems to be settling in quite nicely
