A bit of a morning of it really, owing to a sequence of power outages at Kingston Comms' facility in Leeds - the car park's usually empty! Then I worked out why my Macbook kept shutting itself down - the ruddy battery is faulty.

The former Leeds Housing Association offices seem to have been turned into a squat, and given the bailiff's notices on the front it won't be there much longer so I took the opportunity to get a few pics.

Ben and Ellie's first trip to a sushi place - Yo! in Leeds. They were both really good and enjoyed it a lot!

A nice convalescent lunch at Cafe Rouge in Leeds - mussels, steak, cheese and brandy, followed by a walk up Briggate and then the most fantastic sunset over Wrenthorpe that I've ever seen. Wow.

Off to Leeds to celebrate Col's birthday, starting at Viva Cuba and then beering in La Sandinista, New Briggate. Many beers, and some bad dancing to early 90s indie music.

We went to Leeds, ate prawns and had a cuppa in Waterstones. She's 6 tomorrow...

There's a champagne bar in Leeds - me and Neal decided to go visit it only to find it full of city boys and menopausal desperados. Still, nice champagne...

Finally met Lou in person at Milo's on Call Lane, then wandered up to Townhouse. The bouncers refused to let Gary in ('not smart enough mate') - so me/Gary/Kev/Steve pottered up to North Bar for a few dangerous beers before deciding Gary really needed to get out of those combats and toecapped boots, whereupon Townhouse happily let us in on the guest list and we partied on the top floor with Lou again. Hurrah!

With the 10D being a bit long in the tooth and doing odd things with focusing, I finally gave in and bought a 30D from Jessops in Leeds. These are the new pics off it that I was using to try different modes.

Sunday afternoon spent at Leeds Industrial Museum, at Armley. The museum is a converted mill full of equipment and machinery, and also features an exhibition of old cinematography stuff (principally Kalee projectors which were made in Leeds). Ben and Ellie enjoyed dressing up as mill workers, as well as running around the mill yard being goods trains.

Beers in Leeds, then a quick one at Barristers in Wakefield, before coming home and watching some of the Glastonbury highlights.

Time for a day out - and this time it's a trip to Leeds then up to Kirkstall Abbey House Museum followed by an ice-cream. Lots of walking leaving us rather tired by the end...!

Our new black and white fuzzball kitten, bought on impulse at Leeds Market. Right now she's called 'Kitty', but this will probably change...

Shifting almost 40 servers from London Docklands up to Leeds - not many photos (we were concentrating on working) but you get an idea of the work involved!
