Lee's Stag Day 6: Final Day In Magaluf (30 images)
Almost time to go home, but not before we slobbed on the beach for the afternoon and down by the pool to top up our tans.

Lee's Stag Day 5: Last Night Beers In Magaluf (67 images)
After the success of the Hawaiian shirts earlier in the week it seemed a shame not to wear them on the final night - so we did. I'd acquired fresh false moustaches from a shop on the island which achieved the required effect on passing hen parties, and even attracted a Borat lookalike!

Lee's Stag Day 5: Ferrocarril de Soller, Palma (75 images)
Lee, Ian and Jerry are trainspotters at heart: this meant that a trip to Ferrocarril de Soller (a preserved railway running between Soller and Palma) was inevitable. Unfortunately Lee wasn't well so didn't join us but we pottered down the railway line, then took a tram to the bay, had lunch and came back again before wandering through Palma to see the cathedral and have overpriced refreshments. Very hot.

Lee's Stag Day 4: Quiet Beers On Magaluf Strip (8 images)
After the carnage of the previous couple of nights we decided to take it easy. Trust Lee to find some dark beer in 'Uncle Tom's', the closest to a real-ale bar you'll get in Magaluf!

Lee's Stag Day 3: Hawaiian Shirt Night In Magaluf (49 images)
Of course by this time we'd worked out that the Hawaiian shirts were a sure-fire totty-puller. Sat at the corner bar (re-christened 'Britney's Bar' in homage to the lookalike who worked there) we sat in fake moustaches and waited for the inevitable young hen parties. Oh yeah baby, the chicks were dropping like flies. Really...

Lee's Stag Day 2: Sash! Live at Banana Club, Magaluf (50 images)
Remember 'DJ Sash!' and his track 'Encore Une Fois'? Well he was doing a live set at the Banana Club on Magaluf strip. Ian had a bit too much sun so went back to the hotel early but we hung around dancing until around 4:30am (and I got told to 'f off Dad' by a girl half my age - result!).

Lee's Stag Day 2: Platja Son Mateas, Magaluf (34 images)
First real day at the resort - so down to the beach for 5 hours of intense sun and sea. The nearest to the hotel was the Platja Son Mateas, where Ian attempted to clamber aboard a lilo with mixed results and we all got a bit red in the midday sun. Silly us.

Lee's Stag Day 1: Travelling from Doncaster To Magaluf (18 images)
So, Lee's getting married in a few weeks - and forget a one-nighter, we took off to Magaluf (Majorca) joined by Mr Tickle and Jerry. Hawaiian shirts were the order of the day and didn't we look a sight! We arrived at the hotel around midnight local time so managed to get a few beers in before collapsing around 3am.

Pet Shop Boys at Carling Apollo, Manchester (18 images)
One of only two UK gigs on the Pandemonium tour, standing about 8ft from the stage with Nicky and Mel. Absolutely storming set, although the support act wasn't up to much. Loved Chris Lowe's disco kitchenette full of synths!

Queueing For Free Tickets In Leeds Millennium Square (20 images)
The queues for free tickets for Party In The Park 2009 and Opera In The Park were snaking around Millennium Square by the time I got there around 10:30am, and it took a further 45 minutes to get to the front!

Calibrating Fountains In The Bullring, Wakefield (14 images)
The council in its wisdom decided we needed a fountain in the Bullring in Wakefield - I reckon it'll be about 2 weeks before it's full of litter and whatever detritus comes from Westgate on a Saturday night. However, in the course of walking through I noticed the fountain company was calibrating the streams of water to the same height - quite fun to watch really!

The Subliminals at The Vine, Leeds (21 images)
A second trip to see The Subliminals in the same week - this time at The Vine on Leeds Headrow. Try as he might Cas couldn't get the crowd to mosh but it sent off the drummer with a bang on their final gig together.

Property Of Dave at The Vine, Leeds (24 images)
I went along to The Vine pub in Leeds (on the Headrow) and caught Property Of Dave, a pretty good hard rock band with a bit of a synth bent.

David Tattersall at Clarence Bandstand, Wakefield (23 images)
A bit different for the third act in the Young Bands Showcase - David Tattersall was a solo act accompanied by keyboard backing tracks and performing Green Day covers. Not bad, although I wasn't really sure if it was the right thing for the event, given the other bands.

OP Barbeque at Wrenthorpe (20 images)
The Obvious Pseudonym love-in continues with a barbeque at Wrenthorpe, which ended up being a bit of a jamming session when Dan played us a new song he'd been working on and all the instruments came out. Granted this was after a lot of Pimms, wine, and Si's acrobatics on the lawn so we were all a bit the worse for wear

Chris Catalyst's band Eureka Machines played The Jockey, with shades of The Cardiacs and Sisters Of Mercy (both in which Catalyst has played). A pretty fab gig, engineered well and recommended in the future.
